Tomato Onion Coconut Chutney Recipe - Easy side dish for Idli & Dosa


Ingredients:


Big Onion - 1 roughly Chopped

Tomato - 1 roughly chopped

Grated Coconut - Handful

Green Chilli - 1 or 2

Oil - 1 tsp

To Temper:

Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Urad dal - 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves - few

Oil - 1tsp

Preparation:


1. Heat  1 tsp oil in a pan and fry the onion till it turns to golden color.

2. Add green chilli and tomato and fry for 3 minutes.

3. Add grated coconut and fry for another 3 minutes.



4. Keep it aside and let it cool down.

5. Grind it in a mixer to chutney consistency.



6. Heat another 1 tsp oil and add the 'To Temper' items one by one. Once fried, add it to the chutney.

Now, Tomato Onion Coconut Chutney is ready to serve. It is a very easy side dish for Idli & Dosa. It tastes well with sesame oil.
